Location: Newport - It is likely the individual will be required on site for the majority of the working week so applicants must be prepared to be located on the Island for the contract. There is also an out of hours / callout element - due to the nature of this position 37 hours per week
The successful candidate will:
Hold a Degree in Housing related area or equivalent.
Have extensive understanding of housing, ideally relating to homelessness or housing renewal.
Candidates will need a detailed knowledge of housing issues, as well as the national guidance and statutory requirements which surround the areas managed, alongside substantial experience of working in complex and sensitive situations, in a calm and proactive manner.
Candidates should demonstrate previous experience of managing and delivering services, ideally within a multi-agency setting.
Have excellent interpersonal skills when liaising with colleagues, partners and customers at all levels.
Be able to manage change and enhance organisational performance
