Solution Architect (Secure Communications) - 15328

Salary: £To be confirmed on application (our client has asked for this not to be advertised).

Location: Min 2 days per week in Wiltshire. Mainly onsite – min 3 days per week onsite but could do some of those days in other bases.

Contract Length: 12 months, High possibility of extension

Top 3 Evaluation Criteria
1. Experience working with Military Communications
2. Experience of IP networking architecture and cryptographic technologies.
3. Experience in designing and migrating legacy communication systems to IP-based networks.

Essential:
• Proven experience in military messaging systems architecture or equivalent secure messaging environments.
• Strong knowledge of defence standards (JSP604/453) and military messaging protocols (STANAG 4406, STANAG 5066, ACP127, DOI 103(s)).
• Experience in designing and migrating legacy communication systems to IP-based networks.
• Familiarity with Cross-Domain Solutions, Guard gateways, and PKI security frameworks.
• Ability to produce high-level and low-level technical designs and architectural documentation.
• Experience in stakeholder engagement and independent advisory roles.

Desirable:
• Knowledge of maritime and tactical communication systems.
• Experience with cryptographic hardware lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with communication standards.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
