Project Safety Manager – 15141

Salary: £500 per day (Inside IR35)

Location: The role is expected to be primarily Bristol based, with flexible hybrid working arrangements by agreement. Regular working arrangement 2-3 days in office 1-2 days working from home

Essential Experience/Skills Requirement
• Demonstrable experience in aviation or complex system safety management within a regulated environment.
• Proven experience developing, maintaining and assuring safety cases (e.g. Air System Safety Case or equivalent).
• Strong working knowledge of defence airworthiness and aviation safety policy, including relevant Defence Standards (e.g. DStan 00 970) and the MAA regulatory framework.
• Experience managing hazard logs, safety risks and mitigations across acquisition and/or in service phases.
• Ability to provide clear, authoritative safety advice to senior technical and programme stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills suitable for formal assurance and governance forums.

Desired Experience/Skills Requirement
• Experience working with Uncrewed Air Systems and/or maritime aviation operations.
• Familiarity with Type Airworthiness Safety Assessment (TASA), Release to Service (RTS), Limitations and Exemptions Case (LEC) and Fitness for Change Request (FCR) processes.
• Previous defence experience
• Exposure to international or collaborative airworthiness and safety programmes.
