Senior Infrastructure Engineer – 14908

Location: Salisbury – full time on site

Contracting Authority: Government Client
Contract Length: 12 months
Clearance: DV

HM requires CVs that demonstrate the following:
• Supported air gapped systems
• Provided first to last support
• Had long stints in posts

Essential:
• A thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows workstation and server deployment, system management, and desktop support.
• Experience in the management and deployment of Windows Domain Services, including Active Directory services and account management, Group Policy management, DHCP and DNS services.
• Microsoft Windows patch management using WSUS.
• Administration of Hyper-V virtualization systems.
• Management of Microsoft SQL servers and Failover clustering.
• Documentation Skills, with the ability to produce documents for use by colleagues.
• Sound knowledge of the latest developments and future strategy for their technology area.
• A “can do” attitude.
• Self-paced, motivated, and capable of independent problem solving and fault finding.
• 1st to last line support as part of a small team.

Desirable:
• Advanced Infrastructure skills covering administration.
• Fault finding/diagnosis and fix, File/Print Clusters.
• Enterprise thin client environment including SmartCards and PKI.
• Messaging (Microsoft Exchange server and Database Availability Groups (DAG)).
• Hardware build and evaluation experience.
• Experienced in the deployment and management of Trellix (McAfee) security systems.
• Linux server system management, ideally Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
• Network communications and routing (ideally Cisco), and VOIP / VTC solutions.
